Sweetie: "I thought you did that already."
Me: "Welll... I was, but then I had an idea and looked up a thing and then I found this other thing and then I ended up on fb..."
But seriously, I am going to update this thing today. I can't say this morning anymore - morning's long gone.
A few months ago, I joined a writers group. One where you actually leave the house and sit in the same room with a bunch of other people who also scribble fiction.
I know, right?
Everybody's encouraged to read something they've written and then we go round the table and offer thoughts and ask questions about said read story.
I've been reading Spirit (off and on) in my allotted ten minutes and one of the questions asked recently was "is it finished?"
Mmm... Yes. But, no. Maybe?
I don't know that any piece is ever "Finished."
With a capital F.
I think the creator of a thing will almost always be able to find something to fuss over, to fiddle with.
To flat out recreate altogether.
Again...
"Finished" seems to come when I decide to stop fussing with a piece. No matter how loudly the characters whisper, nudge, and and pester.
So, in that aspect, Spirit's finished, but not Finished.
Not quite. Closer though.
